IUPUI Research On-Boarding Orientation

Target Audience: All IUPUI faculty, with a special emphasis on new and junior faculty

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research is pleased to host a new IUPUI Research On-Boarding Orientation (ROBO) program. Participants will:
•Gain a better understanding of the IUPUI campus level research organizational structure
•Learn about many programs and services that are available to help faculty succeed in their research and creative activities
•Receive insights from current faculty about how they were able to achieve early success
•Connect with resources that are available through centers, institutes, and other research support units on campus
•Meet new research colleagues and possibly explore potential collaborations

ROBO is a comprehensive day-long event beginning with a morning session (9:00am – 11:50am) that will include an overview of all three major campus level research offices. Short presentations will be given by staff from the Office of Research Development, Office of Research Administration, and Office of Research Compliance.

Broad disciplinary roundtable discussions and lunch will be provided for new and junior faculty only on a first come first serve basis (12:00pm – 1:00pm). These roundtable discussions are designed to be casual conversations facilitated by current faculty who have experienced early success in their careers here at IUPUI. Space is limited, so please register soon!

IUPUI Research Resource Fair
Target Audience: All IUPUI faculty, staff and students

The afternoon session of the IUPUI Research On-Boarding Orientation (ROBO) program is the IUPUI Research Resource Fair. The fair will feature centers, institutes, cores and any campus unit that provides resources, support and opportunities that help advance research. Make valuable connections with fellow researchers and perhaps spark interest in potential research collaborations with faculty at all ranks and across many disciplines.
