RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITY MATTER: from IUPUI to the world
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research invites you to the 2014 IUPUI Research Day. This is IUPUI's Open House celebration of its cutting-edge and multifaceted research and scholarly activities.
The Research Day events begin in the morning with presentations by the 2014 Research Frontiers Trailblazer Award winners, followed by a student presentation, and the keynote presentation by Mr. Richard Blanco, President Obama's 2013 Inaugural Poet.
The poster sessions will feature undergraduate, graduate and professional student poster presentations coordinated by the Center for Research and Learning. Faculty research poster presentations highlight the groundbreaking research conducted on the IUPUI campus, including a community showcase coordinated by the IUPUI Solution Center and Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP).
Faculty are invited to participate in a facilitated round table discussion on one of the "IUPUI Grand Challenge Initiative: Urban Health and Wellbeing" topics. They are: Environmental Sciences, Social Networks, Public Health/Medicine, Access to Healthcare, Economic Inequality and Quality of Life. Lunch will be provided at each table, so register soon as reservations are first come/first served. Also new this year is "Jag Talks", a series of short but dynamic presentations that illuminate the breadth of research and creative activity happening at IUPUI and beyond. Jag Talks is open to all Research Day attendees.
Research Day provides an opportunity for the IUPUI faculty, staff, and students, and their academic, industrial, governmental partners, and the broader community, to come together and learn more about the research enterprise at IUPUI, explore new collaborations, and lay the foundation for new partnerships.
